Overall, katana is the overall OP weapon choice in this game. Due to the nature of information technology being able to ignore defense and the Hibufuku sword skill which y'all can actually control the direction you're going, information technology makes for some very easy fights along the mode......especially when you start EX Dancing.
By DLC three when you go assaulter Fusion 5, yous tin employ Defense ignore with Celestial Blades, Attacker, Dagger and Damned Blade as well, and Ex dancing volition be redundant by then every bit v3.20 on PS4 meant that changing Ex Skills outside the safe zone means your Skill Fusion level resets to Lv1
There is no Best weapon, information technology all depends on what type of weapon you similar vs how your playstyle is.
The most stupid question on most rpg's is "what is the best weapon" since there isn't really 1, best weapons are the strongest one for each category obsiously just allow's say i use a dagger now, i'd probably become killed by the get-go hnm (not really but as an example) and so if i used sword or dualwield i can kill pretty much anything without even breaking a sweat.
Same with dark souls and other games, give me a sword and i'll beat pretty much anything easier than with whatever other weapons.
So try different weapons, and then decide which ane you lot like and get better weapons in that category.

okay, a sword isn't whatever trouble, at that place is one that you can transform upwards to a legendary one, requires some mats but getting that isn't whatever large issue except the gilt wings, and farming those is fastest done solo though

ah sorry was only checking so yep nayuta most wasps hornets etc. driblet those as a kind of rare drop so just become into areas with loftier concentrations of that to go them.
The celestial blades/dual welding skill in my opinion is definitely the best skill or weapon blazon considering of its skills ( onethat gived healing and so regen for easy solo), quick damage multiplier and overall dps
